SERVICES
Our tools and resources can assist in Utilization Plan development, as well as in Pre-Audit Assessments, geared to work within the OFCCP ‘Sixteen Steps to Compliance’. Our experts have decades of experience specifically in DBE and EEO compliance, and they’ve been ‘field tested’ in working with the Department of Labor on several project audits – so they know first-hand where the likely problems can be found.

An effective Compliance Plan, with detailed implementation policies and tools, can reduce your liabilities – to help avoid the ‘red flags’ that the DOL has identified. And, a great Utilization Plan, with attention to both the spirit and the letter of the laws can make you more competitive – many bids have been won or lost based on EEO and DBE performance!

Many projects / companies / agencies are focused on building capacity within the workforce. Labor shortages, combined with increasing demand for employees, mean that greater efforts, more targeted outreach and training are required. Our resources can help identify new candidates for a potential workforce, by working with school districts in career education, participating in Construction Career Days, and offering training in Pre-Apprentice and Apprenticeship programs.
We offer candidate sourcing, pre-screening, qualification, and varied training programs to help build a pre-qualified, ready to work pool of potential employees. Additionally, we help in staff placement on projects with experts to help manage day to day compliance needs.
With a focus on Veterans, women, and minorities, we help organizations meet their project requirements, and also provide career opportunities for an emerging or returning workforce. By offering fully-funded access to the training programs, we have developed the ‘workforce blueprint’ for the future – joining educational organizations, partnering with BUILD California, and working with future employers to expand the workforce and meet long term industry needs.
As part of our expanded services program, we’ve developed The Future Construction Collaborative Roundtable, (FCCR) to provide an opportunity for large contractors and agencies that manage major construction projects to meet and discuss relevant topics.
Key discussions will include information on programs in the DBE field, like goal setting methodologies, trucking, CUF, PLAs, local hire programs, the future of Public-Private Partnerships (P-3s), and building up our workforce.
The roundtables will offer new perspectives from both the private and public sectors and use this forum to improve programs, and better understand one another’s industries, to reduce penalties, and increase overall participation from women and minority businesses.
The FCCR will act as a bridge to share resources and information that can strengthen our industry and build new bridges that will serve our workforce, and businesses in all aspects of the construction industry.
FCCR meetings will be held once a quarter, lunches will be sponsored and held in various locations; our intent is to avoid any conflicts of interest that may occur during certain blackout phases, avoiding violation of any rules that may present a conflict.
